1. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS AND SUBMISSION RULES

➡️Registration: To submit a paper, the author must be registered for the event (registration is free).

➡️Types of papers accepted: Both Simple Abstracts and Extended Abstracts are accepted, in accordance with the guidelines described in the call for papers.

➡️Submission limit per registrant: Each participant may submit up to 3 papers as the lead author. However, there is no limit on participation as a co-author; that is, you may be listed as a co-author on as many papers as you wish.

➡️Number of authors per paper: Each abstract may have a maximum of 7 (seven) authors in total, consisting of 1 lead author and up to 6 co-authors (co-authors do not necessarily need to be registered for the event). The lead author is the one who submits the paper on the platform, and co-authors must be listed in order during the submission process. If there is an advisor, they must be included as the last name on the list of authors. However, including an advisor is not mandatory for submission.

➡️Language: Only papers written in Portuguese are accepted.

➡️Original Papers: Only original papers will be accepted—that is, papers that have not been previously published at other events or in journals.

➡️Submission: Abstracts must follow the specific template for each category. If you wish to submit a Simple Abstract, check the guidelines in Topic 4. For Extended Abstracts, see Topic 5.

➡️Attachments: All attachments required for submission are available via the button below.

➡️Review: The deadline for revisions is up to 10 days, though this may vary depending on the Scientific Committee’s availability and the volume of submissions. Results are sent via email and are also available on the IME EVENTS platform under the “My Papers” tab in the registrant’s area. Check regularly to monitor the status of your submission. The committee may also contact you via WhatsApp.

➡️Editing Papers: Editing, corrections, or changes to papers will not be permitted after submission, except when requested by the committee or reviewers. Be sure to submit the final version of your paper, as this will be the version published if approved. Carefully check the title, the body of the text, and all author information, such as full name and email address, among other details.

➡️Checking Submission Status: After submitting your abstract, you can track the review status directly through the Participant Dashboard by accessing the “My Submissions” tab on the IME EVENTS platform. See below for the meaning of each status that may be displayed:
